It is a great honor and privilege to put this web page together to honor the memory of a dearly departed friend and Scouter, Brad Smith. He left this world at a time determined not by us but by God, but his servant spirit lives on within each one of us. Brad’s desire was for every boy to participate in Scouting, and he placed a special emphasis on getting boys to summer camp. As a result, a memorial fund has been established with Troop 736 to provide camperships for qualifying Scouts to attend camps. Our goal is to have a living memorial for Scouts. If you would like to show your support by making a tax deductible contribution to this campership fund, it will help to insure that this will be an on-going memorial in remembrance of Brad. Scouts who wish to apply should download the eligibility requirements, review them, fill out the application, and return the application to your unit leader. Please note that only Scouts from Pack, Troop, Team & Crew 736 are eligible to receive camperships from this fund.

It was the desire of Brad's family that he have a Scout funeral. As we began to put ideas together for a Scout funeral that we thought would provide a fitting send-off for our friend, we found that there weren’t many resources on the internet for planning Scout funerals. So, with his family’s permission, we’ve gathered everything we put together for Brad’s funeral to serve as a resource to anyone who may find themselves in need of ideas for a Scout’s funeral.
